JOE & THE JUICE Website

JOE & THE JUICE is a Danish food and beverage company with a high focus on promoting a healthier lifestyle to its guests — while they are both enjoying and taking part in a unique culture with a high focus on including everyone. Initially my role was to help in the conceptualisation and creation of the new website, including its coding, testing and deployment.  After six-months working in the Joe & the Juice web design and strategy team at the head office, I was made Project Leader for the activity. This was an amazing opportunity for me to be given responsibility to help form and create the digital strategy of Joe & the Juice as it evolved to increase its world-wide online profile and digital offering.

Process

The first step of the process was to outline the goal and set up an initial framework for the project. In this phase I created the framework based on two main pillars: Simplicity & Expressiveness.

It was important for the website to show both the cultural aspect of JOE & THE JUICE, but at the same time it was equally as important to make sure the "functional" parts of the website, such as the menu page, order page, etc. where easy to understand and use. Therefore the goal was to make sure the different pages served the correct purpose and were all designed with the fundamental purpose and messages in mind.

Sharing the initial ideas led to the actual framework of the site as it is seen today, based on a mutual understanding and acceptance at management level to TOV (Tone of voice), Legal elements, Marketing and Concept Development actions.

Launch

After around 2.5 months of planning we finally started to build the website, culminating in its public release on June 10, 2019! It was a pleasure to be involved in this incredible journey in going from concept to reality, and to see a huge amount of effort panning out in a stunning new, user-friendly, SEO optimised and beautiful website.
